  • I-90 form is in process, will it delay N-400?

I submitted an I-90 form to have my 10-year Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) replaced/corrected due to DHS error. The Green Card is expiring June 2019.

I plan on applying for N-400 online soon, will having an I-90 form in process delay the N-400? Should I include a cover letter with the N-400 explaining I have an I-90 in the process and the reason for it?

It shouldn't delay things. If you get an I-551 stamp because your card has expired and the new one isn't issued yet, you'll be given an affidavit to complete attesting to this. You'll then need that affidavit at the oath ceremony, as you won't have a green card to surrender.
