  • Citizenship for Indian citizen: do they no longer get their Indian Govt pension?

    Hi,
My mom is an Indian Citizen who has a Green Card and will soon be eligible to apply for Citizenship. I'm being told once she becomes a US Citizen she will no longer receive her pension and my deceased father's pension. Is this true?
What other benefits (property, etc.) are affected by this change?

I was under the assumption that India doesn’t allow you to be a dual citizen. So basically, anything that would require you to be a citizen, she would lose.
