Expiration date for K1 documents - Petition & Passport
I am now in the process of scheduling an interview and the earliest to book is on March 2019. I am planning to fly to US estimated (if ever my K1 visa gets approved) on August to September 2019 due to collection of employment benefits.
My passport will expire February 2020. The petition will expire February 2019 (I just got the eligibility letter from embassy this January 10th, 2019).
Question:
Can I go ahead with the booking of interview appointment first then call embassy for the extension of Petition? Then, i'm planning to get a new passport when I got my visa already as booking of passport renewal takes months in our country. Is this plan possible?
