  • Consequences of government on immigration applications

I am wondering if the government shutdown had any effects on the petition/travel permit applications?

And if there is a national state of emergency, then what might be the consequences of it on these applications?

They say no effect. People are still getting mail, their EADs and Green cards and interviews. the fees you pay supposedly pays for the budget of USCIS.

I think the current regime has a bigger effect than the shutdown did, even though they claim they were working anyway.
This is my opinion, not legal advice!
