  • I485/I130 Interview - New York City

Spouse is a USC and I'm the beneficiary. Brooklyn Office.

Our interview date is Feb 12, 2019 at 8:05am. Arrived 30 mins earlier to the Jacob K. Javits Federal Office Building, pass thru security, and went up to the 8th floor for the Brooklyn office. We signed in, and was told to take a seat. We were called about an hour later. We took two binders (one for bonfide marriage, and another for civil documents) and one photo album. In the interview room she introduced here self, told us that the interview will be recorded, after the oath She asked us to present all original identification - passports, birth certificates. She also asked us to take out all documents and evidences showing a bonfide marriage, so we took out all 400 pages of them. LOL The interview lasted 15 mins, and she was very friendly and made small talk. She look through our photo album, but did not take out any photos because according to her, the photos we submitted in our initial application was enough. At the end of the interview we were given a Notice of Interview Result notice, and was told we will receive the decision in the mail. The next day, we received a notification on our USCIS Case Tracker app that a card is being produced. We received the card one week later, on Feb 21, 2019!
