  • Changing employers during OPT - Is relieving letter mandatory

I am on OPT. I am changing my employer. Is it mandatory to submit the relieving letter from the previous employer. The international students organization insists on getting a relieving letter. Somebody please help.

If ISO needs it, then it is probably right.

There is nothing like a relieving letter in the US. Get an employment verification letter that should have your start and end dates.
