hello guys,
I have read so many blogs about delays in OPT applications but probably mine is the worst ... I urgently need help and advice
01/27/2010 :I mailed the application
02/08/2010 :Application went into USCIS system
two expedite requests got rejected ... pending security check
05/18/2010 : Useless USCIS local office visit
05/19/2010 : Online status changed to document has been mailed.
06/19/2010 : Till today, I have not received the document yet. My advisory at my University received an email reply yesterday saying that my application is still being under additional review.
I am about to loose my mind. Those people screwed my life for no reason. I have received my PhD. degree in 04/01/2010 and I am a Dean Honor graduate for both master and PhD and i have job offer for research position in Cornell Medical School.
After two months of being stranded in New York City waiting to start my job and 130-140 days from my application submission date ..... I am on the verge of becoming homeless.
My adviser in my university seems helpless .... she keep sending emails and receiving negative replies
I will be deeply grateful if someone can provide me with help or advice
