Travel on OPT EAD

Hi,

My OPT period has started on May 17th, 2010. But I have started working for the same company as full time since Feb 2010 itself. I wanted to visit India for couple of weeks in November end. Is it advisable to do so?

One of my friend told me that I can return back only if I can show them that I am having training at my employer since its Optional Practical TRAINING. Is it so?

The letter which I will get from my employer will state that I am working as a full time employee since Feb.

Please advice me.

Full time employment is possible on OPT as long as it is in the field of study and reported to the school.
For returning you will need F1 Visa, EAD, I-20 with travel signature and job letter.
Btw were you working illegally before OPT?

Yeah... if your employer writes that you've been working since Feb, the immigration may ask you why you could work before the OPT start date. It won't be a problem if you had CPT or pre-completion OPT back then.
