Hello,
I bought a small piece of Certified Gold bar - 5 gm and am carrying it to India. I noticed that the new customs declaration form has a question that asks to declare if you are carrying "Gold bullion". I wonder if it is worth all the trouble to declare a 5 gm certified gold bar when passing through customs?
The Gold bar that I intend to bring in has more sentimental value more than anything else.
Note - The "Gold bullion" is listed as a separate line from gold jewellery above duty free limit.
Your experiences and advise is most appreciated.
Thanks,
Abzt
