I am a legal resident in the USA, (Green card) I have a full time job and I pay taxes as any American citizen does. I have lived in the USA for 13 years. I want to go visit my family back in the UK. Would I be able to get back in America with my green card?

Ofcourse you will . Check your entry to UK requirements based on your citizenship and read the green card travel (re entry) section of uscis. If you satisfy the requirements, you sure will breeze through ! Don't forget, you need a valid unexpired passport.
