My mother in law is from Vietnam approved for permanent residence already. Entered the US with Visa to finish process 5 months, today still waiting for green card. Only have I-551 stamp on passport, she wants to travel to Vietnam for an pressing matter. Can anyone provide some USCIS links where it states this is permitted and if anyone has previous experience with doing this will be greatly appreciated.
