Travelling to USA with Kid

Hi,

I will be travelling to USA for first time with my 3 yr old kid. I have heard that car seats are compulsary in united states for the kids. My question is if I am going to hire a cab or a shuttle will they provide me a car seat or I will have to buy one here and carry it with me?

Some cab and shuttle comanies do have car seats. But you should request it in advance.

in most states public transport and commercial vehicles like taxis cabs and shuttles are exempt from the requirement. But rental cars or friends car would need it. You can rent a seat from baby gear rental firms.
