  • Need some advice for my trip to Madrid.

Hi everyone, I’m going to Madrid next week for business reasons. But I’m free for the last 2 days of my trip. This is my first trip to Madrid so what attractions can be covered best in the city within 2 days? Budget is not a problem by the way. I’ve heard of the Royal Palace as a famous destination, but my friend says I might have to wait in a long queue before entering which could waste my time. Can anyone of you confirm if this is true?

I might recommend you finding some sort of a sightseeing tour or just a guide to take the most out of your free time, should definitely be better than roaming around alone.

I'm also going to spend my winter holidays in Europe, so I'm glad that I've found this topic. Though I think I'll spend the most time in Austria. Any recommendations and useful tips are appreciated.

Austria is a beautiful country and i would highly recommend you rent a car there. Alps there have some scenic views, but of course it is not easy to access with the public transport. All the vignettes can be easily found online , which is very convenient in my opinion. Inside the big cities you can travel around with the train or buses, that is not very expensive and fast.

Madrid is a vibrant city with plenty of attractions to explore. While two days may not be enough to see everything, you can certainly visit some of the must-see attractions. Here are a few recommendations:
            1. Royal Palace: The Royal Palace of Madrid is indeed a popular attraction. To avoid long queues, it's advisable to book your tickets in advance online. This way, you can save time and ensure smooth entry into the palace.
            2. Prado Museum: Considered one of the world's finest art museums, the Prado Museum is a must-visit for art enthusiasts. It houses an extensive collection of European masterpieces, including works by Goya, Velázquez, and El Greco.
            3. Retiro Park: Take a leisurely stroll through Retiro Park, a beautiful green oasis in the heart of Madrid. You can rent a rowboat on the park's lake, visit the Crystal Palace, and relax amidst nature.
            4. Puerta del Sol: This bustling square is a central point of Madrid and a great starting point for exploring the city. It's home to the famous symbol of Madrid, the bear statue, and the iconic clock at Casa de Correos.
            5. Plaza Mayor: Visit the stunning Plaza Mayor, a grand square surrounded by impressive buildings. Enjoy the lively atmosphere, dine at one of the many restaurants, and soak in the historic charm.
            6. Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum: Another renowned art museum, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum houses an extensive collection of European art spanning several centuries. It's worth a visit for art lovers.
            7. Gran Via: Explore Madrid's famous shopping street, Gran Via, known for its vibrant atmosphere, shops, theaters, and iconic architecture. It's a great place for shopping, dining, and people-watching.

Remember to plan your itinerary based on your interests and allocate sufficient time for each attraction. It's also a good idea to check the opening hours and any specific COVID-19 guidelines or restrictions that may be in place during your visit. Enjoy your trip to Madrid!

I recently visited Madrid and had an amazing time exploring the city! There is so much to see and do, especially if you're interested in the nightlife. One must-visit attraction is the Royal Palace of Madrid, which is absolutely breathtaking. Another highlight for me was strolling through the vibrant streets of Gran Via and admiring the stunning architecture. And for those who enjoy a little excitement, don't forget to check out the casinos in Madrid! They offer a thrilling experience and a chance to try your luck. After visiting them I started playing games here https://www.ufabetwins.info/ufabet-เข้าสู่ระบบ/. I didn't know that it's so interesting. Overall, Madrid has something for everyone, from historical landmarks to vibrant entertainment options.
