Marrying a US citizen while asylum petition is pending
Hi Guys,
I am in serious need of some urgent help.
I am an Indian citizen who came to US on a visitor permit last year and then applied for an asylum this Jan. Now while I am waiting on that petition, I have been dating this girl who is a US Citizen and we plan to get married soon.
I deferred my asylum interview with the help of lawyers and am in the process of collecting evidence, but now am in dilemma whether to continue with my petition or apply for GC thru marriage. Your help and guidance would be highly appreciated.
