Dear all please advise:
On 2007 My mom won a green card. In that moment I met a lady (my wife in future) who had a child from other man (9 years female)
My mom decided to adopt her and take to USA She adopted her and gave her family name In her certificate of birth as mother showed my mom and as father field nobody (its empty). So officially she became my Mom's daughter. On 2008 I officially got married to my wife and now we have 3 children
I have applied to green card and in 2015 my wife got notification that she selected.
When I applied to the green card I showed only my personal 3 children
but didn’t show my wife’s child who officially was adopted by my mother.
Why because I didn’t want state department to think that I’m going to take this child with us.
But on DS260 I am going to show her as the child of my wife in past but I will show also that she will not go with us and will stay in my country.
Does it mean that I did something wrong and can my application can be disqualificated?
