My husband is a US citizen from Pakistan. He has a nephew age 2 who has been diagnosed with severe autism. The child is non verbal and in desperate need of therapies that are scant in Pakistan. The only place in Pakistan for the child to receive therapy is two hours away and costs 1500 US dollars per month as Pakistan does not provide medical insurance for its citizens. The price is impossible for family members to pay. In the meantime the child resides in a village in the KPK and it is thought by many there that the poor child is suffering from demonic possession. Seriously. My husband and I want to assume custody of the child and bring him here to the US to live with us. The father of the child has agreed to give us custody. How to we proceed with this?
