Can I travel to Hawaii from LAX while my asylum case is pending?

Can I travel to Hawaii from LAX roundtrip while my asylum case is pending? I am waiting for my first interview. I have valid California DL and valid EAD and a valid Passport from my country.

I believe Hawaii is in US territory and considered as a domestic travel. I remember I just showed my DL when traveling to SF from LAX.

Can I please be sure, just my DL is enough for travel to Hawaii?

Actually, Hawaii has been a U.S. state for a few decades, since 1959. Your DL is acceptable ID for domestic travel. Still, you should carry your passport and proof of pending asylum processing in case you get challenged by an immigration officer.
