If one is selected for further processing in the DV Lottery for 2021, do they need to submit the DS-260 application immediately or do they wait until the visa number is available?
If one submits the DS-260 application before the visa number is available (i.e. the place in line has come), is it going to be reviewed before the visa number is available? Can it be rejected before then?
If I applied through the EU (Europe) region, and my place in line is slightly above 12000, how likely is it that I will get a chance for the further interview process? The total number of selected apps from Europe for Fiscal Year 2021 is around 45000.
If there is a possibility I will get a chance for the further interview process, what time/month am I to expect it and prepare for? According to the Visa Bulletin it is all numbers below 7500 for the month of January and all below 8200 for the month of February. Am I correct it would be around July?
Is there anything one is expected or advised to do in the meantime?
