According to the Immigration and Nationality Act at ยง 208(d)(5), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services should conduct the asylum interview within 45 days after the date of the application is filed.
Due to the incident of recent times, the US has seen asylum seekers being thrown in prison, held in camps against their wishes, and denied rights to meet their children. Not to mention the capital siege on 6-Jan-2021, where the democracy of the US was a spectacle of wrong reason to the world.

    Sr. Citizen Parents for Asylum

Friends, My parents are 78+ and we are planning to file political asylum for them. I've spoken to few Attorneys, however not getting very satisfactory answer. From where I should start? If I need to file myself?

    Can someone please suggest?

What is the process and timelines I should expect?
