Clubbing Tourism while on a business trip

Hi, i have a B1/B2 visa. I have a business need to in US in January'13. I have also made plans to visit my friend so am travelling to US on 21st december. After visiting my friend and do a bit travelling around i am flying to the place where i am supposed to be there for business.
( And i have no intentions of immigrating to US at all. Moreover, i have to go to France while coming back from US. Again on work )

So i want to know -
1. if there will be any problems because of this.
2. Do i need to take some documents along with me to support my case at port of entry ?
3. Or can i just tell the CBP officer that its purely for business ( its christmas and newyear time !..dont think it works )
4. How can i ensure that the entry is not denied.

You can add personal time on B1/B2 visa. Make sure you have decided where you are going, what you are going to, how long it will take an all that.

There is nothing wrong in arriving in the US on business during Christmas time.
