Will B1 VISA stamped on old passport still be applicable for new passport?

I have a B1 VISA stamped on my old passport but currently i have to apply for a new passport to change few personal details. Once i recieve my new passport, what will happen to my B1 VISA on my old passport? Currently i am applying for H1B VISA using my new passport. Is it legal to carry 2 passports ie old passport because of my B1 VISA and new passport for my H1B VISA?

To use B1/B2 you will have to travel with both the passports. Yes, it is perfectly legal because you are only using the visa
in the old cancelled passport.

But if you are going to use your new H-1b, travel only with the new passport.

Make sure the page in the old passport with the valid visa is NOT damaged (cut, hole-punched), as that will invalidate the visa.
