B1/B2 Visa Query

Hi All,

Iam in US on B1/B2 visa, At Port of Entry, i got 6 months duration (as per I-94).
Due to some personal reasons, I need to go to my home country for short duration ( a week) and come back to US on same VISA.
Can I use my I-94 duration, when I return to US at POE, or else will I get new I-94 with new duration ?
Please clarify.

Once you leave the U.S., reentry will generate a new I-94, and allowed duration from first I-94 will be "spent."

stay granted on every B1/B2 visit is NOT carried over to the next visit. For the next visit a new stay is granted.

And if you will return in one week on the same visa, you will be putting your visa at risk, as you will be questioned
thoroughly why you had to return so quickly?
Not advisable to do that.
