Don't have Surname, Is this an issue while applying for B1 visa??

I don't have a Surname in my passport. Does this increases my chances of getting rejected during the B1 interview?
I have initiated the process of name change in my passport, but this will take sometime. If anyone had come across similar situation, then please share your experience.

They won't base your approval or rejection on your name. Instead they are concerned with your reason for the B1, the duration, and your ties to your home country.
