DS-160 - Doubt in filling the present work status

I am applying for a Tourist B2 visa for the US.

I have quit my current job and will be taking up a new job in a months time. What should I enter in the present work status - should I mention unemployed or should I enter Others ?

And what documents do I need to take as evidence for the embassy interview for the above ?

You are currently unemployed.

That does not automatically disqualify you for a B-1 visa, assuming you meet all its other conditions.

Edit: this is the B-1 forum and you are applying for a B-2 visa. Again, the issue will be (1) intent to return and (2) ability to pay for your trip. I received a B-2 while unemployed but I do understand it is a tough sell.
