Can I stay more than 3 months on B1

Is it recommended to stay more than 3months in a single visit on B1.
Does it have impact when we come next time to US. I hear this will effect when we apply for H1 or L1. Please provide suggestions.

Well
It will be good if you stay for short term because later in if you applied for any ither visa the VO thinks that you have less interest in India and you want to shift to US.
