  • No Surname in Passport

    Hi

    I dont have any Surname in Passport, so while applying for B1 visa, I have to put my complete name in Surname.Should I get it changed and split my name ?

    Also, I have travelled to some countries with current passport, so will it cause trouble if I apply for visa for countries such as US with new passport ?

    Plz advise.

    If you have no Surname...

    Passport: Given name, LNU
    Visa: FNU, Given name

    You don't need to split

    LNU= Last Name unknown
    FNU= First Name unknown
    Just my opinion... Use at your own risk...
