hi all,

i applied for b1 visitor visa this month in chennai.i have finished my mbbs.i was planning for usmle step2 cs exams with exam dates.my application was rejected under 214b section.can any one help me with regard to

when can i reapply?
what is this 214b section mean?
what are the documents which can enable me to get a visa next time?.

214b crudely means suspcion of not returning to India.
You have to provide more details about the interview.
Whatever you recall, please post in Q and A form.
Also,
* what documents did they ask for?
*Have you taken step1 and 2ck and what were your scores?
*Do you have any relative in US? On what visas?
* What are you currently doing? Employed or unemployed?

214b means the same as what mr.peace has said.

best ting u can do is wait for 6 months-go to delhi consulate and show a residence proof supporting why u came over to there.
