Impact of Canada Rejection on my B1 VISA

Hi Forum Members,

2 and half months before Canada Business Visitor Visa was rejected,
due to insufficient funds...
Now I am attending USA B1 on 19th of this month.
how does that Canada rejection impact on this B1 VISA?
I'm suggested to go with New Passport..(like, damaging the passport by myself and applying for new one in Tatkkal, can get it 2 to 3 days)..
is that best way? this visa is very important to my career..
Please advise me...

I think that your employer finding out how dishonest you are to consider deliberately damaging you passport would affect your career. Someone who would consider this would not have to worry about a visa because they would be looking for a new job.
