Need to stay longer than date mentioned on I-94

Hi,

At port of entry, officer asked me how long do you want to stay in US?

I replied Eighty days and officer (might have) heard Eighteen days. So she mentioned date of departure as 29 days from date of entering US.

I would really appriciate your help if you can suggest me what to do in this situation as my conference will last for 80 days.

You should have asked for it then and there itself. It makes it harder for a change now. Go back to the CBP counter at the airport and give a try. It may work.
