I am currently holding B1/B2 visa valid till 2015. For some reason I need to obtain ITIN as I am getting royalties from a US based agency and they are withholding taxes. So I am goin to apply for ITIN.
My question
Obtaining ITIN will affect my right to apply for or getting working US VISA in future ?
As referred here https://www.immihelp.com/newcomer-to...uide/itin.html its mentioned that By law, an alien individual cannot have both an ITIN and an SSN and If you do not have an SSN and are not eligible to obtain an SSN then you can apply for ITIN.
So simply applying ITIN will affect affect my right to apply for working US VISA or will create problems in getting such VISA in future ? Also will it affect my current visa status or future visits on b1?
