I am a freelancer based in UK that gets paid into my UK bank account. I want to try and get a B1 visa so I can visit the US and work remotely there for a while. Does anyone know how long I can stay in US on a B1? I've tried looking through official documents but I can not find any reference to the length of that particular visa. Thanks.

B1 is for business visits - where you'll be visiting your clients for business growth. You cannot apply B1 to visit for pleasure & work from here.
Typically on B1 the shorter you stay the better for you for long run. Legally you can stay upto the I94 issued to you upon your entry - but longer stay will lead to questioning on next entry to ensure that you are not misusing the B1 visa.
If you are UK citizen, you can apply for ESTA & can stay longer without much issues.- I am not an Attorney, hence not giving any legal advice. Just sharing MY opinion with an intent to help others.
