Police case issue in Visa application

Hi,
I am gng to apply usa visa ,but i have involved in Telangana movement and raised police case abd also after Telangana government established , the government was closed all the cases.
can any one suggestion how to apply and process.
this is almost 8 years back. I need to mention in the application or not.

Yes, you will have to disclose all/any criminal history or arrests during your DS-160 filing. You will have to bring those documents to the interview. The CO will make a decision regarding your past history. We cannot predict what the outcome will be. Was your case dismissed? expunged? etc.

yes that case was already dismissed by state government.
please advice can i disclose the this case details in DS-160.
