mistake in CAEC application form for embassy interview US bussiness VISA B1/B2

am Assistant Manager in MNC and to attend bussiness meeting in USA i have applied for the Bussiness VISA (BI/B2). I have an appointent convened with Embassy on 28th september 2010 for the VISA interview.

Problem
I have commited a TYPOGRAPHICAL mistake in the CONSULAR ELECTRONIC APPLICATION CENTER online application form, where in the application form i have wrongly filled one digit of my passport i.e. my passport no is say F1234567 but i have filled in F1324567.

Additional Information
I have CORRECT passport no.i.e. (F1234567) mentioned on the ensuing documents
1. On HDFC BANK VISA FEE DEPOSIT SLIP.
2. Also Correct one in VISA INTERVIEW APPOINTMENT letter scheduled.
3. I have other documents from the company supporting my CORRECT passport no

Questions
Q1. Is it possible now at this point in time to correct the mistake committed? if yes how?
what needs to be done?

I suggest you contact VFS to see if they can correct your mistake.

If not, I suggest you cancel your appointment and reschedule it.
