Travel to Canada from US while I am on B1 Visa

Hi,

Could any one please clarify my below query.
Currently I am in US on Business Visa (B1-B2 visa valid until 2019) and have I-94 valid until 25th July. I am traveling back to India on 19th April. I am planning to travel to Canada on 16th April and come back on 19th April and catch the flight to India on the same day (that was booked earlier). I have immigration visa to Canada that will expire on 15th May. So I want to complete my landing formalities before leaving to India.

Could you please let me know if I can go ahead with above plan. Is it fine to leave US on 16th April and re-enter on 19th April. If yes, then do I need to hand over my current I-94 before traveling to Canada and again take a new I-94 on 19th April?

Yes, you plan seems valid.
Do not return your I-94 when you leave for Canada. When your return and transit through US and leave for India then return your I-94 to the airline.
