I-94 correction by CBP and reduced the stay

Hi,
I travelled to US recently on B1, I got the I-94 departure stamp more than a week that I intended to stay (2 months). I had an inspection by CBP after baggage collection at POE. CBP asked me several questions and they corrected the I-94 departure stamp. They striked out the departure date with pen and written a new date which is actually only one week stay.

I would like to know this will have any impact on my future travel to US?
How I can find the exact reason for such correction?

You should depart before the new date. If you do that it will show favorably on your subsequent travels and visa applications.
