Urgent help required on B1 visa pending on admin process
Hello.
Greetings
I attended the interview for B1 on 16.04.2011, The Verification Officer informed me that my application is held due to Admin processing, giving me a 221g form with no additional documents requested. The VO retained my Passport along with my application. (Consulate office was Muscat)
My colleague who attended the interview with me, was also given a 221g form citing the same reason, but his Passport was returned.
I do understand that the consulate will not reply until my admin processing is completed on the status of my visa.
But what worries me is that its more than a month now that my Passport is with the consulate, is it by mistake that the VO had retained my passport?
Will i be able to pull out my passport in case i need it for a international travel in mids of the admin processing?
Will this pulling out of passport further delay my admin process?
Have anyone been in such situation before.
Your help in this matter would be highly appreciated.
