Citizenship + Travel ???
Hi,
My citizenship interview is in June-2008 and my Indian passport is expiring in Sep-2008. I have a few questions reg. the process. Please help answer them.
1) Should I attempt to get a new Indian passport before the interview (in which case how soon will I get it?) or after the interview or do I need renew it at all?
2) After the citizenship interview, how long does it usually take to complete the oath ceremony (in california)?
3) How long does it take to get the US passport?
4) How long does it take to get OCI?
5) During the period between the interview, the oath, getting the US passport and OCI, can I travel to India? If yes, what are the risks? If not, what would it take/need to travel for emergency situations?
