  • After Naturalization: passports for kids?

After naturalization, the first order of business is to get a passport, as they take away your Green Card.
For the next step, if I have foreign-born kids below 12, can I apply for their US passports directly, since they now have at least one US citizen parrent?
Hence no need to apply for their naturalization or any other forms and stuff? No more USCIS?
Just $110 passport fee at the local post office and ride into the sunset?

The kids were US permanent residents (green card holders) living in the US with you when you naturalized, right? If so, yes, they are now US citizens and you can apply for US passports for them. No need to apply for anything else first.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
