They informed me about the de-scheduled by phone on 7/24. Received the formal notification by end of July. No update ever since. Anyone else in a similar situation? What actions can I take?

    How annoying for you...

In this case, the cancellation may be because a judge died or became ill or it could simply be down to scheduling errors... you'll probably never know.
To answer your question... there is absolutely nothing you can do except wait or perhaps complain to Congress and/or the USCIS Ombudsman.
The only point in the whole process where you have any power whatsoever to force deadlines is related to the 120 day approval/rejection deadline after an interview. At all other points in the process you are pretty much powerless to speed things up.

Thanks for your response. Just got a status update today that another ceremony has been scheduled. Thank God.
      Good luck to everyone.
