  • N400 IO Interview - Oath Ceremony

    Hi Everyone,

We have scheduled for IO interview and I have few questions.

    1. Usually how long we need to wait after interview.
    2. Could we delay oath ceremony
    3. How long we need to wait after Oath to get passport
    4. Is there faster way to get passport

Reason for above questions: My MIL is very sick and my wife needs to go ASAP.

    Thanks in advance

    1. The waiting time can vary case by case basis as my Oath is scheduled within a week (after my approval). But for my wife , its almost a month.
    2. Yes, you can delay it as my friend did the same (no issues). But its always better to finish it, as we don't know if they delay it
    3. You can apply immediately after the OATH ceremony

https://travel.state.gov/content/tra...ing-times.html Apply in Person at a Regional Passport Agency
Processing Time: 1 to 8 business days, but the exact turnaround time will depend upon which Regional Passport Agency you go to. In order to get your passport expedited at a Regional Passport Agency, you may also need to make an appointment and/or show that you are traveling out of the country in two weeks or less.

**** Pls do some research on the above ****
