  • San Antonio June 23rd Oath Ceremony

Hi. My wife pass her interview and was told she would be attending the June 23rd Oath Ceremony in San Antonio. however, we have not received the letter stating this. We've confirmed that she is still scheduled to attend on the 23rd, but no one can provide us with the location and time. I was wondering if anyone had this information.
we are scheduled to fly out of country on the 25th, so we are eager to get this done! Our understanding is that you cannot leave the country between the interview and the oath ceremony, although there is a thread here that says it's ok. Our attorney even confirmed that you can't leave, so I'm confused. Any experience with this exact problem would be very welcome!
    Thanks,

    Hey
I passed my interview back in April i was told i would be attending Oath ceremony on May 11 and didnt get my letter until May 10th which stated that my Oath is scheduled for June 6th. You can leave the US btween your interview and Oath. My Aunt just did that. What you cant do is leave the country after your Oath unless you have your US passport. The person at the Oath explained that because you are giving up your green card they will not let you in the US without the US passport even tho you have your certificate.
Hope that helps. If yor wife really needs to go on that trip i think she can always reschedule the Oath. it might just take longer otherwise i would recommend for her to stay and await for her letter in the mail.
    Good luck
