Hello everyone,

I have a question about my visa extension.
I'm a French postdoc in the US and I want to extend my J-1 Scholar visa for few months to complete my research program.
I understand that I have to do it before the expiration date of my current DS-2019 and I have to provide proof of health insurance for the duration of the extension.
The problem is that, at the beginning of my program, for few months I thought I had health insurance coverage but I hadn?t.
It is fixed now but I?m wondering if this may hurt my chances to get a visa extension in the future, since I will not be able to provide proof that I have maintained continuous health insurance.

Thanks for your time,

Julien
