Hi everyone,
My girlfriend will join me in the US under a J-2 visa and she would like to work here. We are wondering if it is possible to start an internship in a company while applying for the Employment Authorization Document (EAD). If it is, is it a common practice to start in the company as an intern while the EAD is processed and then start an actual position in the company? If it is, are people payed during this kind of internship?
