H4 to J1

Dear all,
Please help me with this suituation. I am right now on F1 and i am I am getting married and getting my visa converted to H4. I am a doctor and I am applying for residency programs thi year. Is it posible for me to take J1 positions and how are my chances of getting J1 I have already applied to EAD
as a dependent. Is there any other aoptions or sujjestions.Please please do help me with,

Yes, you may apply for change of status to other nonimmigrant visa while on H-4 visa.
