My wife is on H4 in US and we are in the process of getting her J1 visa. She has got her DS2019 form and waiting for visa appointment to go back to home country for visa stamping in the month of May. Meanwhile I am planning to file H1 & H4 visa extension for me and my dependents (including my wife in case her J1 visa stamping wont go through) in the month of April. Is there any impact on her DS2019 form issued if we file H4 extension for her? How should I approach this scenario? Any suggestion would be appreciated.
