Hi,
I am in J1 visa and my visa has been expired. I have valid DS2019 with me.
Now, I am applying for passport renewal through CKGS Chicago. When I was trying to complete the CKGS application the options for "Proof of legal Status in USA" are - Green Card / Employment Authorization Document (EAD) / Valid I-797 / Valid Dependent Visa.
If I select "Employment Authorization Document", it is asking for "EAD number" and "VISA Catagory". My "VISA Catagory" is "J1: Exchange visitor program".
My question is what will be the "EAD number"?
Also, what option should I choose as the "Proof of legal Status in USA" for my wife's and daughter's passport renewal? They are in expired J2 visa but with valid DS2019.
