Hi Everyone,
I have just started a 2-year postdoc at a university in the USA, and I have found that I am subject to 212e based on skill list of my home country India. My queries are:
1. how hard is it to get the waiver for J-1 research scholar who is subject to 212e based on skill list using no objection letters from India. Is the whole process of collecting the no objection letter is straightforward or can it be denied there? what is the chance of deny by the Department of State?
2. How long it generally takes to get the waiver based on no objection in total. I will plan to apply for the waiver based on this information.
Thank you very much.
