Hello All,
I have permanent green card and my to be fiance is currently on j1 visa in hospitality category. In his passport it is clearly mention that "Two year rule does not apply". Visa expiry is in june-2023.
Even in DS-2019 form , no check mark is there for this rule. He does this visa from country UAE.
But one of lawyer told us that if passport says that this 2 rule rule does not apply, does not mean it is not apply.
Sometimes it is applied. I mean how to verify that this 2 year rule is apply or not ?
And if it does what is the procedure of getting waiver from the country UAE ? He is indian national but working in UAE since last 12 years.
Please help to solve this.
