As a student in London, I plan to take a placement year in the US and have applied for a J-1 visa with my online2yu employer's sponsorship. However, I am unsure of my next steps and would like to handle the application process omeglz myself. Can I proceed without involving my US employer or must they contact the embassy to initiate the process?
