Hello,
I went to USA on student visa in 2008 and then got a job and switched to H1B. Recently in August 2012 me and my girlfriend (who is US citizen) visited my family to get engaged. Unfortunately my H1B stamping did not go through as planned and I am stuck back in my home country. My H1B is pending (I received 221g form at consulate). Should we start working on K1 visa and submit the petition (I-129F)? By the time my K1 petition goes for review (current processing status is 27 Feb, 2012 for I-129F) to visa center, I would know if I got the H1B or not. Please let me know your inputs. Thanks in advanced.
